Brien McMahon product Kevin Fico pitched into the seventh inning but did not get a decision as Fairfield University defeated Rider College, 9-8, on Monday afternoon.
Fico, a senior, allowed three earned runs over 6-plus innings for Fairfield (10-14). He walked three and struck out three and left with a 8-3 lead. Fico is 2-1 in seven games for the Stags, and has made three starts.
Fico was a four-year letterwinner at McMahon, and twice earned All-State honors.
