The Bridgeport Bluefish have invited fans to a pep rally for their first appearance in the Atlantic League Championship series since 2006. The rally is Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Ralph 'n' Rich's in Bridgeport.
"We would like to thank our fans for the tremendous support all season and especially during our divisional playoff games this past weekend," said Bluefish general manager Bob Goughan. "Now it's time to pack the park for Willie Upshaw and the Bluefish as we try to win our first Atlantic League championship since 1999."
Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch and Bluefish staff members will attend the rally. Fans will be able to purchase half-price tickets for any remaining playoff game as well as win Bluefish memorabilia and playoff tickets.
The series begins Wednesday in York, Pa. Game 2 is Thursday in York. Bridgeport hosts Game 3 on Friday at 7:05 p.m. Log on to the team's Web site for more information.
