Fairfield Lacrosse Team Wins 5th Straight

 

A pair of Norwalk High grads helped the Fairfield University men’s lacrosse team defeat Bellarmine Saturday, 13-4, for the Stags’ fifth straight victory. John Snellman had three goals and Brent Adams added a pair for Fairfield, 6-2.

Snellman and Adams, both sophomores, have been key players as the Stags have climbed into the national rankings. They are ranked 20th in the United States Inside Lacrosse poll. Snellman has a team-high 11 goals, while Adams is third on the team with nine. Adams also has 19 ground balls, one of the best on the team.

Fairfield hosts Loyola Saturday in an important ECAC game. Both teams are undefeated in the conference. Loyola beat Ohio State Saturday, 11-9, behind three goals by Darien product Cooper MacDonnell.
