Fairfield County Runners Race in Boston Marathon

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Runners from every community in Fairfield County will head to the starting line Monday for the 116th Boston Marathon. The 26.2-mile race begins in Hopkinton, Mass., at 10 a.m. and finishes on Boylston Street in Boston.

The weather forecast is not favorable for the runners, with highs expected to approach 80 degrees.

Here are runners who are registered for the race. Some may not participate due to injury.

Stamford: Jeffrey Englander, Eileen Garvey, Emma Giffen, Luis Giraldo Sr., Alison Grice, Sergio Palomo, Seth Phillips, Christa Robinson and Jeff Watson.

Norwalk: Jessica Arrien, Ronnie Behringer, Ian Cadieu, Tim Downs, Yolane Miracle-Colburn, Armando Monsalve and Jodi Sorrells.

Fairfield: Joseph Beaudet, Matthew Day, Kim Haney, Keri McKay, Jeffrey Nickell, William Seanor, David Taf, Marc Tierno, Eileen Tufts and Kate Worrell.

Westport: Nadeem Ahmad, Blake Benke, Evan Berkley, Carol Cark, Peter Harker, Kenneth Klegar, Jason Martin, Salvatore Mulia, Kathy Muro, Amy Orenstein, and Joseph Pucci.

Weston: Joshua Cohen, Emily Locher and Pat Marfiote.

Wilton: Kristin Johnson and Corinne Lee.

New Canaan: Michael Buscher, Renee Codd, Melissa Cutler, Lauren Greig, Larry Ikard, David Keeffe, Ryan Lynn, Michael Nurzia, Thomas Robey, Nicholas Sykes and Lisa Tuffy.

Darien: Brian Bessey, Marilyn Hart, Heather Knight Pech, John McIntire, Heidi Mitchell, Peter Pfister, Michael Pond, Louis Rasden, Raul Riveros, Elizabeth Short, Josephine Velazquez-Rucquoi and Brad Wellington.

Greenwich, Old Greenwich and Cos Cob: Antoinette Decker, Katha Diddel-Warren, Scott Fahey, Brooke Garden, Binney Huffman, Peter Kapp, Pendleton King, Hugo Mujica, Matt Womble, Jim Blake, Renata Britto-Pereira, Thomas Conti, John Krasniewicz, Sharon Vos, Richard Bucala and George Nelson.

There are no runners from Easton, according to the Boston Athletic Association. The list of runners was compiled from the BAA website.
