St. Luke's hosts Brunswick and teams from King and Greens Farms Academy will also see action Wednesday as the first round of the Fairchester Athletic Association boys basketball tournament tips off.
St. Luke's plays Brunswick at 4:30 p.m., and GFA hosts Rye Country Day at 5:15. King visits Hamden Hall at 6:15 and Hopkins meets Masters in the other semifinal. Wednesday's winners advance to Friday's semifinals. The championship game is Saturday.
St. Luke's (14-8 overall, 10-4 FAA) earned the second seed while Brunswick (4-20, 3-10) is seeded seventh. Brunswick defeated St. Luke's, 55-53, on Jan. 14. St. Luke's won a rematch on Jan. 28, 68-52. The Storm enters the FAA playoffs on a five-game winning streak, including a 97-91 win over top-seeded Hamden Hall. Brunswick has lost four of its last five.
Eighth-seeded King (13-12, 3-11) concluded its regular season with a 55-50 win over Masters on Saturday. In that game, senior Tre Tipton became just the seventh King boys player to surpass 1,000 points for his career. The victory snapped a seven-game losing streak for the Vikings, who fell to Hamden Hall twice this season. King has lost seven games by seven or fewer points.
Greens Farms Academy (13-9, 7-7) is seeded fourth and has lost four straight games. The Dragons split two games during the regular season against Rye Country Day (10-9, 6-8).
