The discount for tickets for the sixth annual SportsNight Hall of Fame awards dinner has been extended to Sept. 24. SportsNight takes place at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct 18, at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. Until Sept. 24, dinner tickets are priced at $115, a $10 discount. Tables of 10 seats are discounted at $1,150, a $100 savings from the pricing after Sept. 24. Author and ESPN reporter Jeremy Schaap of Westport will be the featured speaker at the event.
The six newest inductees to the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame will be honored. They are: Garry Cobb, Amanda Pape, and the late Mickey Lione, all from Stamford; Stratford's John Hirschbeck, Bridgeport's Alvin Clinkscales and Trumbull's Vito Montelli. Sports Persons of the Year from 15 county communities will also be recognized.
