CBC Rowers Cream Kent Contestants

Connecticut Boat Club rowers tuned up for this weekend's Northeast championships by winning all four races it entered Saturday at the Kent Invitational.

CBC's first boat with coxswain Katherine Isaza, Rosie Grinalds, Lucy Grinalds, Abby Stevenson, Maria Lycouris, Maddie Stearns, Christine Bragg, India Knight and Heather Oudheusden cruised home in 4:55.5, six seconds ahead of Kent.

CBC's second boat included cox Ali Hornung, Lexie Lynn, Abbie Frey, Deirdre Fitzpatrick, Tori Babchak, Meg Galloway, Emily Crump, Caroline Cochrane and Alex Enzor. They finished in 5:04.6, nearly 12 seconds ahead of Kent.

Cox Andi Cara guided the third boat that included Jackie Cloud, Sarah Schwartz, Kirsten Wessel, Courtney Kyritz, Emily Wilson, Alex Minicucci, Maggie Roberts and Kendra Shutts. They were timed in 5:21.6, with Kent second in 5:29.4.

CBC's final victory came with cox Steph Leone, Kylie Maier, Kate deHaas, Olivia Taylor, Amanda Miller, Erika Osherow, Bea Nash, Juliet Ruhe and Emily Olsen. They were timed in 5:26.3, with Kent trailing in 5:35.9.

CBC will be among several teams from Fairfield County competing this weekend in the most significant race of the season to date. The Northeast championships will be held on the Merrimack River in Lowell, Mass., on Saturday and Sunday. The top three boats in each class will qualify for next month's national championships.
