Angelo Bruno hit a two-run home run in the first inning Thursday night to lead Stonehill College to a 4-1 win over the University of New Haven in the Northeast-10 Conference tournament. Stonehill will play host Franklin Pierce Friday at 7 p.m.
Bruno went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. His home run was a team-leading ninth and staked pitcher Michael White to a lead as the Skyhawks, who are competing in the tournament for the first time since 2006.
