Boats in Stamford Race Hit the Water

STAMFORD, Conn. – More than 90 boats started the Vineyard Race on Friday, beginning in Long Island Sound.

Boats were on the course early Saturday morning. Finishers in the 116-mile Cornfield Point race are expected to be in Stamford late Saturday morning. In the 142-mile Seaflower Course, the lead pack was off Westbrook, Conn. In the 238-mile Vineyard Race, Blue Yankee was south of Block Island at about 7 a.m. and should be back in Stamford by early Saturday evening.
