Beachside Soccer Club's under-17 team, coached by program director Mickey Kydes, won the state Premier Cup championship last weekend. Beachside won four Premier Cups, including its under-12, under-15 and under-16 teams. All four teams will advance to a national tournament next month in Hershey, Pa.
Beachside's team includes Kieran McQuilkin, Sebastian Camacho, Christian Barral, Benjamin Root, Oliver DeBamos, Dylan Evans, Patrick Figgie, Max Grascher, Connor Gavey, Mahmoud Kafei, Juliaan Zenner, Aleko Petridis, Jeff Cohen, Spencer Tanaka, Anthony Teixeira, Nick Zuniga, Rocco D'Arcangelo, Marino Patrk, Alex Mayorga, Erick Romero and Jake Leaman.
Earlier this spring, the team won the FC Delco Players Cup, the NEFC Preseason Tournament and the Region I Northeast League. It is ranked 47th in the country in its age group, according to gotsoccer.com
