Two Fairfield County Swimming League records fell in Monday's Division 2 championships at Woodway Country Club. Edward Stolarski of Shore and Country Club and Lauren Church of Riverside established new marks. The Lake Club of Wilton won the meet.
Stolarski, of Weston, set a record in the 12-and-under 100-meter backstroke with a time of 31.08. He beat the old record set by Josh Furth in 2009. Solarski also won the 50 freestyle and 100 individual medley, and nearly set records in those events as well.
Church set a record of 30.72 in the 17-and-under 50-meter backstroke. She set the previous record -- 30.82 -- in 2009.
The Lake Club placed first, followed by Shore and Country Club and Riverside Yacht Club. In other divisional meets, Stamford Yacht Club captured Division 3, Patterson Club won Division 4 and Tamarack took Division 5 honors. Full results of each meet are available here.
The FCSL championships will be held Saturday at Roxbury beginning at 9 a.m.
