Lewis has served as assistant principal at Ponus since 2011.
Before that, he worked in Stratford Public Schools as its school counseling department head for grades seven-12 and as coordinator of alternative services, according to a press release.
He worked as school counseling team leader for Trumbull Middle Schools from 2007-09 and as a school counselor at Trumbull High School from 2004-09, according to a press release.
His experience also includes roles as a career education counselor, coach and summer leadership program facilitator at Bridgeport Public Schools, according to a press release.
Lewis has an Ed.D. from the University of Bridgeport, an M.S. in counseling from Southern Connecticut State University, an M.S. in education from the University of Bridgeport and a B.A. in English and sociology from the University of Connecticut.
