NCC Grad To Talk about CT Prehistory

Dr. Cosimo Sgarlata, a graduate of Norwalk Community College, still digs the campus’ Archaeology Club. He will be the guest speaker at the group’s next meeting at 7:30 p.m. on April 8 at the Culinary Arts Dining Room on the West Campus. Sgarlata specializes in the earliest pre-history, when mobile bands of hunter-gatherers roamed the land. His particular studies focus on how local environments, such as West Rock Ridge, affected the size and number of bands. His topic title, put into academese, is the Organization of Mobility During the Late Archaic in South-Central Connecticut. Admission is free. Log on to the Norwalk Community College Web site for more details.
