The start of horse racings Triple Crown is still more than a month away, but the third leg of the local scholastic jazz band Triple Crown was run, or more accurately, played, at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk Friday night. The evening, A Celebration of Jazz, follows similar events last week at Norwalk High and two weeks ago in Wilton.
Jazz combos from 11 local schools played for more than six hours, and received critiques and advice from faculty from the Western Connecticut State University music department.
