The Norwalk Board of Education announced this morning their choice of Dr. Susan Marks as a finalist for superintendent. She will visit Norwalk early next week. Parents and community members are invited to meet her on Monday March 8 from 7 to 9 p.m.in the Community Room at City Hall.
Currently, Dr. Marks is the Associate Superintendent for Human Resources for the Montgomery County Public Schools in Rockville, Maryland. Previously, she served the county as Community Superintendent, where she led the instructional program in 30 schools; as Chief Information Officer for the public schools; and as the principal of two elementary schools. Dr. Marks received her Ed.D from the University of Maryland. "She emerged as the finalist whose strengths would best fit the Norwalk Public Schools and the Norwalk Community," said Board Chair Glenn Iannacone.
