Most real estate agents probably wouldnt wait in line for four hours to get a clients children into a summer camp. For Steven Thomson and Wendy Tremaglio of TNT Partners, thats just part of superseding expectations.
They were coming out of the city on the day of Westport camp signups, and the day of signups you really have to be there at 5 a.m. and take a number. I did that for them so they could get their children into the camp classes they wanted, Tremaglio said inside their Westport office.
Thomson and Tremaglio also have represented a client in front of a planning and zoning board to seek a variance. Normally, that would be a job for an attorney. They were granted the variance. It was successful, but it was a ton of work, said Thomson.
The duo came together eight years ago to form TNT Partners at Coldwell Banker. Previously, each was at a different Coldwell Banker office in Westport. They met at a leadership conference, where Tremaglio was captain and Thomson was co-captain of a realtor group, hit it off and eventually decided to combine forces.
Now they cover the five-town area of Westport, Wilton, Weston, Fairfield and Norwalk. The coverage area makes sense: Their office is in Westport. Thomson lives in Fairfield, and Tremaglio is in Norwalk.
Before working in real estate, Thomson traveled internationally in the fashion industry. Forming a family instilled in him a desire to settle down. Tremaglio owned a retail business in Norwalk for nearly 20 years before switching to real estate.
Together, they are continuing to educate themselves and grow the business. They are starting to use Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter as part of a trend in real estate for making connections and finding prospective clients. In the end, though, it all comes back to one thing. In our particular area, the challenge is superseding the customers expectations, said Thomson.
