Have you always wondered what its like to live in a glass house? You can find out on May 14, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. if you attend New Canaan Historical Society's all-day event, Seeing Modern.
Following a morning of talks and discussions by contemporary leaders in the world of architecture, art, film and furnishings, busses will take you around New Canaan to visit modern homes designed by internationally renowned architects John Black Lee, Eliot Noyes, Alan Goldberg, Hugh Smallen, Toshiko Mori, Landis Gores, Kengo Kuma and Specht Harpman.
You'll get to mingle with homeowners, architects and speakers at a continental breakfast, lunch and cocktail reception. Tickets are $295 per person ($200 is tax deductible as the proceeds benefit the New Canaan Historical Society).
