A ribbon cutting ceremony was held at the new Tide and Marsh building in Westport May 19. Westport's First Selectman Gordon Joseloff joined Sam Gault and Jim Donaher of Hamilton Development at the official opening of the building. The Tide and Marsh building is the first phase of a larger development to revitalize the area on the water side of Riverside Avenue in Saugatuck. It includes a mix of retail and office space, a couple of low-income apartments and luxury rentals. Downunder, a kayaking and paddleboard rental business and surf shop will be opening on Memorial Day weekend.
