Real Estate Agents Convene in Hartford

Real estate office across Connecticut emptied out on April 6, as more than 1,000 agents from across the state met in Hartford at the 27th Annual Realtors at the Capitol event. Gene Fercodini, president of the Connecticut Association of Realtors (CAR) introduced the keynote speaker, Governor Dannel P. Malloy.

Prior to being elected governor, Malloy was mayor of Stamford for 14 years. Gov. Malloy told the Realtors that his goal is to cut spending and raise revenue. His plan calls for tax breaks and incentives to attract jobs to Connecticut. He wants to balance the budget and lay the course for future growth, and has plans to invest in education and transportation. He also wants to support the community and business.

Following Malloy's address, the Realtors met with State Senators and Representatives.
