Fairfield Metro Center Moves Forward

Blackrock Realty LLC is moving forward with construction of the 35-acre, mixed-use, smart growth Fairfield Metro Center development, now that the train station, an integral part of the transit-oriented work-live concept, has been completed.

The development includes 1 million square feet of Class-A office space, 30,000 square feet of retail space, a 180-room Hilton Hotel and 190-unit residential apartment complex. The Fairfield Metro Center is located adjacent to the train station off exit 24 of Interstate 95 in Fairfield, Conn. Fairfield Metro Center is designed to be the first development of its scope in Connecticut to achieve LEED Gold certification, recognizing the design, construction, and operation of high-performance, environmentally sound, green buildings.
