A 6,800 square-foot five-bedroom home in Scott's Cove in Darien is being auctioned to the highest bidder on June 25. The French Norman-style estate on a two-acre parcel of land is being auctioned by Concierge Auctions, a firm that specializes in selling high-end homes. Listing agent, Doug Milne of Kelly Associates, says that interest in the home has picked up dramatically since the auction was announced.
To participate in the auction a buyer must register by June 18, make a $250,000 deposit and undergo a financial check. The house has been listed since 2010 at $12.5 million. Opening bids that come in at between $6 and 10 million will receive buyer incentives.
