Id often admired this waterfront house in South Norwalk and last week there was an open house sign at the end of the drive! I went in for a tour.
The views are to die for and theres not much wrong with the house either. Its basically new construction, and I loved all the details starting with the wood compass inlaid in the foyer floor. Very nautical. And check out the staircase. Its quite striking.
Teak balconies on all three levels face the Norwalk River and harbor. Theres a patio with a built-in grill outside the living room. And as a bonus, theres a permit in place for a new dock.
The downstairs has an open kitchen with top-notch appliances and a handy built-in eating table. The dining area is set up off the kitchen so that everyone can look at the water. The living room is spacious, and if you work at a virtual office theres a very nicely designed home office that might suit you.
On the second floor youll find a master suite with its own wet bar and wine refrigerator (I checked there was champagne!), and there are three other bedrooms on the second floor. Go up another flight and theres a family room and another bedroom. Exhausted at the thought of all those stairs? Dont worry. Theres an elevator.
