Working seven days a week for her clients isn’t quite enough for Gloria Marwell. “I dream about my houses and my clients at night,” she says. And that just about sums up the effort Gloria puts into her job.  “I don’t just sell houses – I’m like a concierge in a hotel. I have lists of service providers and tradespeople, and I know everything about the towns I work in,” she says. Gloria Marwell provides her clients with a total package. According to Gloria, the market in the towns of Bedford, N.Y. and Greenwich, Conn., which are her primary focus, is picking up. “International clients are buying high-end properties. We have New Yorkers moving out of the city, and we have corporate moves,” she says.

 "Greenwich is an exceptional town, it's very cosmopolitan," she says. “We have everything. Several beaches and five town harbors where you can dock your boat at a reasonable price." She points out there there are top-tier restaurants where you can get a meal after 8 p.m., which is not the case in most suburban communities. And, of course, the finest shops line Greenwich Avenue and its many side streets. Most of all, Gloria emphasizes, Greenwich is a safe town with little crime.

Bedford is another great place to live, Gloria continues, but it offers a different lifestyle to Greenwich. The town has mostly four-acre zoning with large estates and horse farms. People come here for property and for the laid back, country lifestyle. "Bedford is the sort of place where people go into town to buy the paper in the morning," Gloria says. "It's a very exclusive community, like Greenwich, but it's lower key," she says.
