Post Praises Blumenthal, Murphy Plan To Close Restraining Order Loophole

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The Washington Post is praising a proposal from U.S. Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, two Democrats from Connecticut, to close a loophole that could allow abusers to gain access to guns.

They plan to introduce The Domestic Violence Survivor Protection Act next month to close a loophole that can allow a person to purchase a firearm while a temporary restraining order is in place.
