NORWALK, Conn. — A woman died in a blaze Sunday morning in Norwalk after hoarding conditions in the home made it difficult for firefighters to help her, according to NBC Connecticut.
The fire was reported at about 7 a.m. at a house on Bettswood Road that was filled with items that almost reached the ceiling, fire officials told NBC Connecticut.
Firefighters, calling it a hoarding situation, were forced to crawl on top of the debris to find the victim, NBC Connecticut said.
The identified woman, the only person in the home, was pronounced dead at Norwalk Hospital, the story said.
