NORWALK, Conn. — Two thieves smashed the front window of an AT&T store, ransacked the store and took more than a dozen cellphones, according to The Hour.

Officers responded at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday to the store at 777 Connecticut Ave., The Hour said.

Displays with models of the new iPhone 8 and Galaxy 8 were smashed, and the models were taken, although it was unclear whether those were working phones, police told The Hour.

More than a dozen Samsung Galaxies and other phones were stolen from the rear storage room, The Hour said.

Police have video surveillance photos of two suspects clad in all-black with bandanas covering their faces, The Hour said.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3000. Anonymous tips can also be left at the Norwalk Police Tip Line at 203-854-3111; online at the Norwalk police website at www.norwalkpd.com; or via text message by typing “NPD” into the text field, followed by the message, and sending it to CRIMES (274637).
