Original story: NORWALK, Conn. -- Two male passengers were killed in a two-car crash on Connecticut Avenue/Route 1 in Norwalk late Monday night.
The Norwalk Fire Department responded to the crash at 789 Connecticut Ave. at 10:11 p.m. Monday, fire officials said. Firefighters extricated two male passengers from one of the cars, and they were pronounced dead at the scene, according to fire officials.
The other car had one occupant, who was injured and taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment, fire officials said.
The crash scene was near the Darien town border.
The identity of those involved and the cause of the crash were not released Monday night.
The roadway was closed for hours overnight after the accident but has reopened.
