The plate on the rear of the vehicle was stolen from the Yankee Doodle Garage, Cotto said. Both the driver and his front seat passenger were charged as youthful offenders. Alyssa Costanzo of 36 Glendale Ave., Bridgeport, who turned 18 on June 15, was charged as an adult.

All were charged with misuse of a plate, possession of a stolen plate, conspiracy and larceny first degree. The driver was also charged with reckless driving, failure to obey a traffic signal.
