NORWALK, Conn. — A 34-year-old Norwalk man was arrested on charges of making social media posts that advocated violence against police officers, Norwalk police said Sunday.
On Friday, the Norwalk Police Department's detective bureau learned of the Facebook posts. Officers later identified their author as Kurt Vanzuuk, police said. The posts indicated that the Dallas shooter was a hero and called for police officers to be killed, police said.
Detectives obtained a warrant for Vanzuuk’s arrest on Saturday, and officers subsequently took him into custody, police said.
Vanzuuk was charged with inciting injury to persons or property. His bond was set at $20,000 with a court date of July 19, police said.
