Maurice Thomas-Riley, 20, of 24 Woodbury Ave., Norwalk, was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. He was held on $250,000 bond and appeared in court Wednesday.
The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by Special Victims Detective Kristin LaPak that began in May. Police said that while working as a coach for Norwalk Grass Roots Tennis, Thomas-Riley assaulted a juvenile victim multiple times.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and the Special Victims Unit took him into custody Wednesday.
Lt. Ashely Gonzalez, commander of the Special Victims Unit, praised LaPak for her work on the investigation.
