On Aug. 6, 2011, Rickita Smalls, 22, and Iroquois Alston, 27, were found dead in a small dark car awkwardly parked on Avenue B. Residents of the neighborhood called police that morning, which was a Saturday, to report the grisly discovery.

Avenue B is between Scribner and Taylor avenues, in a quiet tree-filled neighborhood of homes with well-manicured lawns.

The Norwalk Police Detective Bureau is renewing the call for help from the public as the anniversary of the cold-case crime approaches.

The State of Connecticut is offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for their murders.
