NORWALK, Conn. – The body of a deceased man was found on a sidewalk at Martin Luther King Drive and Madison Street early Friday, and Norwalk police were investigating.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was discovered by a passerby at about 6:30 a.m., police said. Officers and paramedics were called to the scene, and he was pronounced dead, police said.
According to Chief Thomas Kulhawik, there were no apparent signs of foul play, but the department was continuing its investigation. The state medical examiner’s office was also involved.
The man has been tentatively identified as a 70-year-old resident of the nearby Open Door Emergency Shelter, police said. But police were withholding his identity until his next of kin has been notified.
