NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk police identified Joseph Torok as the 79-year-old man who was struck and killed by a car while walking late Thursday on Newtown Avenue, according to The Hour.
Torok lived about a mile away from the accident scene on Nelson Avenue, police told The Hour.
No charges have been filed in the accident, which occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday near 197 Newtown Ave. Police said the man was walking in the roadway when he was hit by the car. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and called police.
