NORWALK, Conn. — A Norwalk police cruiser was reportedly rear-ended by another car Tuesday afternoon on southbound Route 7 near the exit ramps to I-95, an eyewitness reported.

Photo Credit: Rick ReardonThe accident occurred near Norwalk Hospital at about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday and brought a large number of police cars and officers to the area.
Both cars were towed from the scene.
The officer was reportedly injured and taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment of neck and back pain.
