A Norwalk man has been arrested after allegedly threatening and making racial slurs in Wilton, police say.

Wilton Police observed 30-year-old Martin A. Ginejt walking in the area of Fawn Ridge Lane near Gateway Shopping Center on Sunday, March 3 around 3:30 p.m. The officer recognized Ginejt and knew that he had an arrest warrant.

The warrant results from a series of incidents in early- and mid-February wherein Ginejt allegedly created a disturbance by using offensive language and racial slurs toward Pokeworks employees at 14 Danbury Road.

Ginejt was arrested and held on $5,000 bond. He was charged with the following:

  • Ridicule on account of creed, religion, color, denomination, nationality or race
  • Second-degree breach of peace
  • Second-degree threatening

Ginejt is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Wednesday, March 13.
