NORWALK, Conn. -- A 21-year-old Norwalk man was charged with having sex with a minor, according to police.
The Special Victim's Unit began investigating a sexual assault complaint in July, and determined that Nelson Perez-Pineda of Woodward Avenue was a suspect, police said. Investigators found that Perez-Pineda had groomed a minor, whom he then had intercourse with, according to police.
An arrest warrant was issued for Perez-Pineda, and he was taken into custody at his home on Wednesday. He was charged with second-degree sexual assault, and risk of injury to a minor. His bond was set at $25,000.
