Norwalk House Hit By Gunfire

NORWALK, Conn. - A house on North Taylor Avenue was shot at six times while the residents slept, Norwalk police said.

A resident of the house heard the shots fired around 1:15 a.m. Friday. She checked to make sure her daughter was alright and then went back to sleep and reported the shots in the morning, police said.

In the morning, she went into her living room to find stuffing from the couch and debris all over the place, police said. There were bullet holes in the walls near the television and the couch, police said. Police said there were six bullet holes near the bay window in the front of the house, and one in the window itself. Police found four silver shell casings in the street.

According to police, several people in the area heard the shots in the early morning, but nobody called 911. The matter still is being investigated.
