Sophie Larevoy, of no known address in Norwalk, was arrested by officers who saw her on South Main Street and knew that there was a warrant for her arrest, police said.

Larevoy is accused of stealing two Apple iPhones, an iPad, an Apple Macbook Pro laptop, a Wii console, a DVD player, speaker system, hard drive, three cameras, a pair of Oakley sunglasses, $200 in coins, a camcorder, jewelry and various other items from the home. The home was entered through a rear door where a glass window was broken, and the items were discovered missing the night of Nov. 23 when the homeowners returned after being out for a few hours.

Officers were able to track down Larevoy’s whereabouts soon after the theft by activating a surveillance software program the homeowner set up on the iPad. They found her with the iPad in a second floor apartment on Newtown Avenue, and she claimed it was given to her by a friend she could not identify.

Police obtained a warrant for her arrest, but they did not disclose whether the other items besides the iPad were found.

Larevoy was charged with third degree larceny and third degree burglary, both felonies. She was held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Thursday.
