Jairo Lopez, of Walter Avenue, Norwalk, was charged with multiple felony counts of credit card theft and illegal use of a credit card as well as misdemeanor larceny in connection with the thefts.

Police said Lopez took cards out of the lockers of at least three co-workers. After those employees complained to management, video cameras were secretly installed in the employee locker area earlier this month, police said.

Lopez was seen on tape allegedly rummaging through a co-worker’s purse and taking out a credit card and cash, police said. He was arrested Thursday in connection with the theft.

Lopez was released after posting $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on April 1.
