Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police swept a train in Norwalk after a man phoned in information that there was a bomb on the train, Metro-North spokesperson Aaron Donovan told The Daily Voice on Monday.
After passengers from the train were evacuated at the East Norwalk train station and no threat was found, the tipster told police he was just kidding about the threat, Donovan said.
The tipster was arrested and charged with making terrorist threats, according to Donovan. His name has not yet been released.
