NORWALK, Conn. — Police found no evidence of a shooting after responding to Nathaniel Ely Elementary School in Norwalk Tuesday on reports of shots fired, according to the Hour.
The school was placed on a lockout after police received a report of three shots fired behind the school at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, the Hour reported. Nobody was allowed to exit the building while police investigated the report, according to the Hour.
Police told the Hour that the reports appeared to be unfounded, and the sound was likely from a construction vehicle. The lockout was lifted, but police remained on scene investigating, according to the Hour.
