NORWALK, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested on drug sale charges after police say they found more than a pound of marijuana and nearly 30 grams of cocaine in his home.
The Stamford Police Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit had launched an investigation into Matthew Ortero, 28, of Norwalk for the sale of drugs, police said. They obtained a search and seizure warrant for his West Rocks Road home, and executed the warrant on Wednesday with the assistance of the Norwalk Police Special Services Division.
During the search, police found 1.165 pounds of marijuana, 2.6 ounces of marijuana wax, 29.83 grams of cocaine, 148 Xanax prescription pills, and $6,695 in cash.
Ortero was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, failure to keep narcotics in their original container, and operating a drug factory. His bond was set at $250,000 bond.
