Expect Road Closures In Norwalk For Police Memorial

NORWALK, Conn. -- Residents should take note that the streets around the police department will be temporarily closed from 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, until noon for the annual Norwalk Police Memorial Ceremony that is held each year during May to remember fallen officers across the country.

This year's event begins at the Norwalk Police Department at 11 a.m. with a flag raising ceremony.

Roads that will be closed: 

  • South Main Street from Haviland Street to Raymond Street
  • Monroe Street from Martin Luther King Drive to South Main Street 
  • Hanford Place from Water Street to South Main Street
  • Chestnut Street from Monroe Street to Henry Street
