Police told the Hour that a home on Ely Avenue in Norwalk was broken into on July 28, 2016, and cash and jewelry were stolen. The video and DNA evidence from the scene allowed police to link the crime to Dwight Davis, 28, of Brideport, according to the Hour. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was arrested while appearing at court last week on other burglary charges, the Hour reported.
Davis, who was charged with sixth-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and criminal mischief, is also facing charges charges for two burglaries where he was found inside the home, the Hour reported. In 2013, police found him hiding under a bed of a Norwalk home he had broken into, according to the Hour. In July 2016, he fled a Norwalk home after the homeowner's son found him climbing through a kitchen window, according to the Hour.
