The Norwalk and Westport Fire Departments responded. When the first engine arrived, firefighters found a 1992 Toyota Camry fully involved in flames, Norwalk Deputy Fire Chief Chris King said in a statement.

Both northbound lanes were shut down for about 15 minutes while crews extinguished the fire, King said.

Norwalk and Westport each sent two engines and a command car, he said. No injuries were reported, and the last fire unit cleared the parkway at 9 p.m, King said.

Both fire departments respond to calls on this section of the parkway.
