Burglars Snatch Laptop, iPad From Norwalk Home

NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk couple returned to their Highbrook Road home Monday evening to find that someone had broken in and taken an expensive laptop and iPad. 

The couple had left for work around 8 a.m. and returned around 5:45 p.m. They discovered that a $6,700 laptop and $500 iPad were missing. They also discovered that a rear sliding door had been forced open. The matter is still under investigation.

Jermy Gedeon, 20, and Tre McPherson, 19, of Norwalk were arrested on drug charges for the second time in a week. Tavonn Watson, 18, of Norwalk was also arrested on drug charges.

Officers patrolling in the area of Oxford Street pulled over a car because the driver was not wearing a seat belt. An officer reported smelling the strong odor of marijuana as he approached the car.

The three occupants said no when asked if they had any illegal drugs in the car. A drug-sniffing dog was brought in and police said that they found four plastic bags with marijuana. Police reported that one of the men also had marijuana in his pocket, wrapped in $300 cash.

The three were charged with possession of marijuana, possession within distance of a school and conspiracy to sell marijuana. They will appear in court on July 10.
