One firefighter suffered minor burns in battling the blaze, the Norwalk Fire Marine Co. said on Facebook.
The fire in the two-story home at 67 Fair St. was reported at about 12:17 p.m., The Hour said.
Twenty-nine firefighters were dispatched, with four fire engines, two trucks, a rescue vehicle and a command car, The Hour said.
Firefighters searched the home and found two people in a basement apartment who were taken to safety, The Hour said.
