NORWALK, Conn. - William John Stoerzinger of Norwalk died July 2. He was 83.
Stoerzinger was born on October 23, 1929, in Port Chester, N.Y., to Harry and Stella O’Dell Stoerzinger. He served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy and was a past commander of the Disabled American Veterans’.
Stoerzinger is survived by his wife, Mary DiLonardo Stoerzinger; daughters, Patricia Abbott (Harry) of Redding, Linda St. George (Brian) of Shelton, Barbara Friend (Eddie) of Norwalk; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Ann Rees and her husband, Edwin of Georgetown.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8 at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk.. Interment at the Riverside Cemetery.
