Regina M. Giellman, 77, Worked As Nurse At Norwalk Hospital

STRATFORD, Conn. - Regina M. Giellman of Stratford, former longtime Norwalk resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 17. She was 77.

Giellman was born in Stamford, in 1937. She attended Stamford High School and graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Hartford, Conn. A longtime Norwalk resident, she worked as a registered nurse at Norwalk Hospital for more than 30 years, moved to Stratford in 1989 and retired in 2002. She was a former parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Norwalk and St. James Church in Stratford.

Giellman is survived by her brothers, Stan and Ted; daughters, Lisa, Laura, Ruth and Ann Marie; and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Genevieve; and sister, Helen.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22 at St. James Church, Main Street in Stratford. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
