Pasquale Camerota, 84, Longtime Norwalk Resident

NORWALK, Conn. – Pasquale Camerota of Norwalk died Tuesday, Aug. 28, at his home surrounded by family. He was 84. 

Born May 16, 1928, in Scauri, Italy, he was the son of Vincenzo and Maria Grazia Tuccinardi Camerota. He served in the Italian Army before coming to the United States. Camerota lived in Norwalk most of his life. He was married to Rita Nardella Camerota for 59 years. 

Camerota worked as a tailor at Carlo Brothers in Greenwich for several years. He later worked for Pepperidge Farm. A member of St. Ann's Club, he enjoyed fishing, cooking and bus trips to Mohegan Sun. 

He is survived by his wife, Rita; four daughters, Maria Barry, of Danbury, and Fran Davis, Giovanna Cugno and Julie Camerota, all of Norwalk; two son-in-laws, Leo Kevin Barry and Michael Davis; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Philip Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk.
